National Science day was celebrated in Orchids – The International School on 28/2/12, with a lot of enthusiasm and gaiety. The programme began with an introduction to the relevance of Science and the enormous, valuable contribution of C.V. Raman in the concerned field. It was followed by a skit performed by the students of classes V and VI in which the significance of the 3R’s i.e. Reduce, Recycle, Reuse was highlighted and reinforced among all the children.
Later the students of classes VI to IX demonstrated various experiments to explain the different concepts of Physics and Chemistry innovatively. The session ended with an interactive and interesting Inter house quiz. Students were awarded prizes based on their performance.
It was altogether a fun-filled and informative programme for all the students and teachers.
